Blockchain for EveryoneーTomohiro Tagami
Introduce yourself to the reader:
I’m the CEO of techtec. I’m from Japan. I was in charge of Blockchain R&D (Research and Development) at Recruit Holdings and I started my own company in January 2018. Currently, I’m developing a blockchain learning service named PoL. I met Abasa with an introduction from Wei who works at ZILLA. I and Wei we were acquaintances. She introduced PoL to Abasa and I went to ZILLA office and met Abasa.
What got you into crypto?
It started with the interest in Bitcoin. Because I majored in economics, I felt that the mechanism of Bitcoin was interesting. The mechanism that prevents malicious activities has a big impact on economic incentives. While investigating about Bitcoin, I knew more about blockchain and crypto.
Describe your daily life. A typical day in your life.
Basically, I work every day on developing PoL. Besides, I often go to sauna and hot spring with my friends and acquaintances in the blockchain industry.
How many hours do you spend on social media per day?
About three hours. I use it to gather information about crypto as the latest news comes out every day.
Regarding crypto and Blockchain, what do you believe that most people disagree with?
It is very difficult to understand how blockchain works. Most people don’t understand it. That’s why I think that the interest in blockchain is diminishing. I would like many people to learn more about blockchain and create many use cases through PoL.
What else are you interested in besides crypto?
Recently, I’m interested in sociobiology. Humans cannot resist the genes and instincts they have. Therefore, I think that understanding social biology is to understand the essence of human beings. Besides, I like football. I’m a fan of the British team called Manchester City.
What was the best Blockchain event that you attended in 2018?
That’s the DApps release event for a company called Primas, which was held in Shanghai in June. Primas is our global partner and on behalf of the Primas partner companies, I spoke about the Japanese blockchain trends. Companies from all over the world gathered at the event and I got to spend a very exciting time there.
Do you plan on attending any events soon?
Yes. We organize the event community named techain. We are planning to hold an event in June.
Do you have any predictions for 2019?
Many more blockchain projects will be born in Japan. We are one of them. Currently, we are working on developing PoL into the blockchain.
Any advice to newbies?
Please try PoL. That’s all. You will definitely understand better if you study systematically by using PoL.
Anything else you want to share with the reader?
We are looking for global partners. If your project has not made it to Japan, let’s have a discussion.
